The true key to financial stability and success is residual income. But what exactly is it and what does this mean?
Defined, it is income that continues to be generated after the initial effort has been expended. Still unclear? Simply put, when compared to linear (regular) income, the income stops when the work does, but with residual, the income continues to be created with the momentum of the initial work put in.
“If you understood residual income, you would walk through a brick wall to get it.” – Art Jonak
Here’s my own personal comparative.
I have dabbled in oils for a few years. Before it was such a “thing” around here, I had tried peppermint and M-grain for my headaches and all things lavender for better sleep. There is one person signed under me and she is actively growing her team. I benefit from that in residual income. There are a few products that I adore and obtain using my wholesale status, but I had zero desire to work this company as a business. The timing was wrong and the passion was lacking. In order to get paid on what this one person is doing, I have to purchase a minimum of $100 per month, which I do on those products I find proven to work for my family. I do not promote, advertise or sell their products. I do not work for two companies. This is for my own personal benefit and cost savings. And I’m guessing, until now, most did not even know I had any connection with this company at all.
THIS is residual income!! Where I spend $100 only and get a paycheck for more than twice that. Check this month was $285. The seed was planted and work was done long ago, yet benefits continue today despite my lack of involvement.
Can you just imagine what my earnings are in a company I am actually working?! Yep. We are not allowed to share paychecks publicly or I would, just to show how exponentially THAT residual income is from diligently working my Plexus business.
However, I can share the email from my accountant after going over year end goals and concerns. Note where she recognizes my Plexus income as a real factor in our business bottom lines.
So why do you keep seeing everyone selling something?! Because the game has changed. How many went out on Black Friday or waited instead to take advantage of Cyber Monday?! UPS just left my office after bringing toilet paper and chili mix. Ironic, that combination, I know. Ordering online is a convenience that is taking over the brick and mortar mindset.
Back to residual. We have bills that come in every single month, so why not income?! And if you are thinking of a second job, then heed the words of Dave Ramsey. Financial freedom will require taking out the mind trash and replacing it with new mindset to make any network marketing gig work.
As the saying goes, “A picture is worth….” I have added a few of my favorites below.
• A little time now spent building up a force to pay you later vs decades of toiling away…
• Pushing beyond excuses and not quitting or talking yourself out of it…
• Seizing the moment and figuring it out later…
BUT THE STORY DOES NOT END HERE. Not only do you have to love the product you share, but the comp plan must be stellar!!
I am not going to dissect the various types of plans out there. Some have heavy pay outs at the beginning to hook and motivate you to keep going but that income falls off later. Some pay out on the lesser of two legs, meaning if one leg sells $1000 and the other sells $500, you only get paid on the $500 leg. Some give you pay with points to spend on other product within the company. There are just so many.
What I do know is Plexus. I found passion in products that have phenomenally worked for me personally and the hundreds of other testimonies I’ve learned about this last year and a half. The financial earnings have been mind blowing. Regular people, fitting this into the nooks and crannies of their busy lives, changing the health and wellness of others, one person at a time. Paid on seven levels. Commissions no less than 15%. Paid on all legs. Actual money in the bank, not product credits. I’ve watched the founders who created this hybrid comp plan explain how and why they set it up this way. You can watch that here. And here. Both are short 5 minutes but packed full of great info.
However, the VERY BEST comp plan comparison is from our very own Natalie Foeller. THIS ONE will knock your socks off. If you are more than a little intrigued at this point, here’s another one by Sonya Dudley. She is part of the John Maxwell team and sold makeup for many, many years prior to this. Her testimony is amazing about the difference between being in the hole and tons of inventory compared to plexus.
I challenge you to try and find a better comp plan in the network marketing industry! plexus comp plan
Go ahead and print out our plan. Grab a highlighter and mark it up. Ask me anything. I’m an open book.
And for those posts you read about gut health from me – how about like and/or comment once in awhile. Three of either allows fb to actually circulate my posts into newsfeed and gain exposure. Help a sister out now and then, won’t you. – Sincerely, The Gut Gang
